Who we are
This website is operated by Pass It Around and powered by the Auxilium Group of Windsor, Ontario. You can reach us through our contact form.
What we collect
- Stories: the card number, the town or city and date you received the card, your story and, optionally, a postal or ZIP code. The story, town or city, date and card number are shown publicly. The postal or ZIP code is used only to place the card on the map and is never shown.
- Accounts: your first and last name, email address, postal or ZIP code, password and, optionally, how you heard about us. Passwords are stored in a scrambled (hashed) form. Your name, email address and postal code are never shown on the website.
- Card requests and messages: your name, email address, optional phone number, organization, location, the number of cards requested and your message.
- Visit statistics: simple, anonymous statistics about which pages are viewed, the general area a visit comes from (city level), the type of device and the website that referred the visit. No cookies are used, and no IP addresses, names or other personal details are stored with these statistics.
- Your device: when you sign in, a sign-in key is kept in your browser so you stay signed in. Signing out removes it.
How we use it
To show each card's journey, to let members follow the cards they have held, and to answer card requests and messages. We do not sell, rent or share your information with marketers or other businesses.
Where it is stored
Information is stored in Canada in the Auxilium Group's own database. The website is delivered by Cloudflare, which also runs the “are you human” check on our forms. Maps are drawn with map images from Esri, which your browser loads directly when you view a map.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your information, or remove a story you shared, through our contact form.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
