How it began

The story behind Pass It Around, and how you can help keep the cards moving.

I'm Thomas Lynk. Years ago, while working as a paramedic in Windsor, Ontario, a colleague told me about her husband's trip to the grocery store. He'd gone for an Easter ham, but they were sold out.

At the checkout, an elderly woman handed him a package. She had heard him asking, gone back to the butcher, and had her own ham cut in half for him. Then she left before he could thank her.

He wanted to thank her and couldn't. That stuck with me. Most people who do something kind don't ask for thanks, but everyone likes to know their kindness mattered.

So I made Pass It Around. When someone is kind to you, they leave you a card. You tell your story here, follow where the card goes, then pass it on with a kind act of your own.

Why donate?

I've paid for printing and shipping the cards myself for years. It's getting expensive. Any amount helps keep the cards moving. Thank you.
